Michael Xu joined Prax in August 2003 as investment director and was promoted to partner in January 2006. He is responsible for deal sourcing and investment analysis, valuation, negotiation, and initial public offerings of the portfolio companies. Prior to joining Prax, Mr. Xu had seven years experiences in venture investment and business advisory in China working for NewMargin Ventures, Kamsky Associates, Inc. and Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Xu received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Ningbo University in China. He is fluent in English and Mandarin. |
Ted Lee joined Prax Capital in September 2007 and is involved in deal sourcing, financial due diligence, advising portfolio companies to establish sound financial and internal control system, and expanding Prax Capital's network in the market place. Prior to joining Prax, Mr. Lee, a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, has had a distinguish 31-year career with Deloitte. He pioneered Deloitte's China initiative and opened its first office in Shanghai in 1992 and led its Manufacturing Industry Group in China serving multinational and local clients. Mr. Lee holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the California State University, Fresno in the U.S, and MBA degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southern California. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. |
Benjamin Zhang is responsible for deal sourcing, evaluation, due diligence and post-investment management. Mr. Zhang has over six years experience in investment banking and financial advisory businesses in China. Before joining Prax Capital in 2005, he worked at Yungenghu & Co. (a boutique investment bank) and Shanghai Mingchang Investment Consulting Co., advising many state-owned enterprises and private companies in mergers and acquisitions as well as private placement deals. Mr. Zhang holds a BA degree in Economics from Peking University, and currently is an EMBA candidate at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). He is fluent in English and Mandarin. |
Ellen Li is responsible for deal sourcing, investment analysis, due diligence and post-investment management. Prior to joining Prax, Ms. Li has over 12 years working experience in direct investment, venture capital investment and investment banking. She was the Investment Manager in Crest Capital Partners, Managing Director in Shanghai Census Capital Co., and Assistant Vice President in Government of Singapore Special Investment Co. ("GIC"). Ms. Li has directly involved in over 10 venture capital and private equity deals, 2 IPO projects in HongKong and China A-share markets. Ellen Li holds bachelor degree of Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an MBA degree from China Europe International Business School ("CEIBS"). She is fluent in Mandarin and English. |
Kevin Xu joined Prax in 2007 as a senior associate. Prior to Prax, Kevin spent six years with KPMG Transaction Services in Shanghai and Chicago offices, with a focus on financial and commercial due diligence covering various industries including manufacturing, retail and consumer goods. Kevin has helped a number of international and local clients in identifying and evaluating M&A targets, providing financial and commercial due diligence and performing pricing analysis. Kevin holds an M.A. and B.A. degree in Economics from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade and Fudan University, respectively. He is also a member of IMA (Institute of Management Accountants). He is fluent in English and Mandarin. |
Angela Ma is responsible for deal evaluation, due diligence and post-investment management. Ms. Ma has over four years of professional experience in audit and advisory services with KPMG. She has been involved in many projects and sectors in statutory financial statement audits, IFRS and US GAAP conversion, business performance improvement and post-merger integration. She holds a BA and an MA degree in Economics from Peking University. She is fluent in English and Mandarin. |
Charles Wang is responsible for deal sourcing, deal evaluation, due diligence and post-investment management. Prior to Prax, Charles has over 7 years experience in direct investment, financial advisory and accounting in Temujin Global Asset Management, KPMG Corporate Finance, Parker Hannifin and China Mobile. Charles has helped a number of international and local clients in identifying and evaluating M&A targets, providing financial and commercial due diligence and performing pricing analysis covering various industries. Charles holds BS degree from XiĄŻan Jiaotong University, and MBA degree from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. He is fluent in English and Mandarin. |
Jason Zhang is responsible for deal sourcing, deal evaluation, due diligence and post-investment management. Mr. Zhang has over four years experience in investment banking, financial assurance and advisory businesses in China. Prior to joining Prax, he worked in ICEA Capital Ltd. and Ernst & Young, advising Chinese private companies in M&A as well as HongKong IPO. Mr. Zhang holds bachelor degree of Accounting and master degree of Financial Management from Shanghai International Studies University. He is a member of CICPA and is fluent in English and Mandarin. |

Christina Yu is mainly responsible for providing business development services to portfolio companies and/or target companies, also building up the talents pool of industry experts/consultants in various industries. Ms. Yu has more than 16 years business experiences with both Chinese companies and MNCs in different industries. Prior to joining Prax Capital, she had worked with Beijing Matsushita (Panasonic) in Quality Management, with Philips Lighting China/Akzo Nobel Coating China/Henkel Cosmetic China in Marketing Management, and also worked as an independent business development consultant. Ms. Yu got her Bachelor Degree of Electronic Engineering from Beijing Communication University, and received her MBA degree from China Europe International Business School. She is fluent in Mandarin and English. |
